Miss Becky Thayer, Owner/Instructor Born with a passion for dance, she was enrolled in classes with Karen's School of Dance in St. Croix Falls, WI at the age of four, and has never looked back. In addition to her instruction with Karen Hansen's studio throughout her high school years, she became a member of the SCF Saints Pom and Dance Team, holding the position of Team Captain for two years. Her undeniable love for the art began to draw the attention of local teachers and coaches and she was chosen to choreograph several school plays, choir events and dance line routines. Following High School, she studied for a short period of time at Spotlight Dance Studio in Stillwater, MN as well as teaching dance at a local daycare before she left for college. It was always her dream to open a dance studio of her own and after a few years in the workforce she had decided there was no reason to wait. Becky's School of Dance opened its door in 2001 with 35 students and has grown rapidly ever since. Miss Becky continues to attend yearly trainings and workshops in an effort to stay current with new dance trends, and to improve both her program and her stills as a dancer. She is currently studying with Miss Cathy Jones wolf in the Cecchetti Theory of Ballet. It is her hope that her passion for dance and her love for her students makes a lasting impression on those who study with her. |

Miss Kimberly Robbins, Instructor Miss Kim is a long-standing instructor at BSD, with roots in both miming and theatre performance. She has studied with Miss Becky since 2002. Her obvious passion for dance and theatre as well as teaching has effortlessly weaved itself into her daily life. A full-time social worker for the Spooner Health Care System - Nursing Home, she actively shares her dance and performance knowledge with the residents she cares for. As a swimming coach for the Special Olympics she uses her experience to aide in teaching dance to our Special Angels. She is also currently teaching our young and mid level Ballet Plus students (ballet/tap/jazz combo). While has a love for all genres of dance, she holds a special place in her heart for tap, and a newfound fondness of hip hop. Miss Kimmy is also a member of the advanced level Triple Thread Competition Team at BSD and attends yearly workshops with Miss Becky. |

Miss Cathy Jones Wolf, Instructor Miss Cathy grew up in the world of dance. Her mother was an instructor and owner of Steven's Dance Studio in a suburb of Cleveland, OH. During her studies with her mother, she passed with honors all levels of the Cecchetti Method of Ballet Student Examinations. She later studied at the School of Cleveland Ballet, as well as studying under Douglas Wassal (NYC) and Marjorie Randazzo (FDCCA). Under their instruction she received with honors her teacher's certification in the Cecchetti Method of Ballet, as well as an Advanced Coach Diploma.
Miss Cathy also carries a BA in Dramatic and Technical Theatre (Cleveland State University). She has directed, choreographed, and performed in numerous theatre productions across the country. Perhaps most notably was her role as both singer and dancer on Broadway in 42nd Street.
Miss Cathy returned home in 1987 to help run and eventually take over the family dance studio. Following the studio's closing in 2006, she spent her next year involved with the Main Street Conservatory of Dance in Marshfield, WI. She continues to act as a guest teacher and an examiner for the CCA. She is currently a ballet teacher at Becky's School of Dance and has a great desire to enhance our ballet program.
